I would like to start out saying,” Sorry to all who lost their friend.”  I lived in Sultan for 18 years and almost lost my own life when I was 10 in that river because I know how strong the currents are I know not to even go on or near the river so many people have lost their lives in that river.  The signs are posted, but some people don't listen to read them. I wish all the friends and family well I know losing someone is hard i just hope the survivors stay away from that river it’s so dangerous people get sucked under into the undertow and well they die.  Just two years ago a guy died over a shoe.  Again I can't stress how dangerous that river is to everyone who goes on or into it. The personal experience I had when I was 12 years of age was bad.  I was at a party thought I could wade across the river itself, but the current took me.  I was spitting out water and yelling for help.  My uncle, thank God, heard me and came down scooping me up out of the current.  I am so thankful that he saved me and I am here and alive today.  The Sultan and Skykomish Rivers are nothing to play around with.  Take the caution signs seriously.

P. S. To the family that lost the love one I am really really sorry this happened to your loved one.  I know what you’re feeling.  It’s been 23 years and i still know how losing someone feels.  I am greatly sorry.  | from Rikku
